Programme Coordinator
Sammy has an in-depth knowledge of Aquaculture and Fisheries management schemes and their industry impacts. He holds a Masters Degree in Fisheries (Aquaculture) and a BSc in Fisheries Management.
His specialties include: Aquaculture Technology Development, Innovations, Training and Research. Development of fisheries and aquaculture policy, management and sector planning with emphasis on structural, institutional and socio-economic aspects including historical trends underpinning poverty alleviation strategies and policy and technological reform processes in the aquaculture and fisheries sub-sectors.
In the Programme, he is in charge of overall coordination of implementation in 15 Counties. Further, he serves as the Secretary to the Programme Steering Committee and spearheads liaison role between the Government of Kenya, IFAD and other Programme Partners.
