The Aquaculture Business Development Programme (ABDP) is a jointly funded Programme between the Government of Kenya (GoK) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The Programme is National in scope and works with 15 Counties with high concentrations of aquaculture activity, high production, existing infrastructure (processing, marketing and research), adequate water resources and marketing potential. The overall goal is ‘Reduced poverty and increased food security and nutrition in rural communities, and the corresponding development objectives are ‘To increase the incomes of poor rural households involved in aquaculture in the targeted Counties and the food security and nutritional status of the wider communities.’ The purpose of this charter is to enhance our customers/stakeholders’ awareness of the type of services the Programme offers; outline the standard of services expected from the Programme and outline obligations of the Programme and our stakeholders.
